A carefully planned itinerary is chosen by experts. Accommodation is arranged at first and superior tourist class hotels including breakfast-buffet and dinner. Our guide will make sure you enjoy tour visit. (spoken language English and if required other languages can be added, depending on the participants).
Day 1 – After leaving Amsterdam, a full day's drive around the Ijsselmeer (former Zuiderzee) with its dreamy 16th century old cities and fishing villages. Via the typical country side, we stop to take the famous Museum Steam train to enjoy the most thrilling journey through time by this famous steam train between the historic Westfrisian towns of Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen. After some free time for luncheon we proceed towards the Afsluitdijk, the famous 32 km enclosing dike along we shall enter the province of “Friesland”. Here you will visit the picturesque villages of Makkum, famous for its Makkummer earthenware and Hindeloopen. After a scenic drive along the Frisian lakes we continue to the hotel for dinner and overnight. (Bilderberg Hotel or similar).
Day 2 – After breakfast we drive to Giethoorn, the green Venice of the North emanates an agreeable, pleasant atmosphere with its small canals, lovely arched bridges, and weaving shell paths. In the afternoon a scenic drive along the IJssel river will bring you to the hanseatic city of Deventer. Since Deventer is one of the oldest towns in the Netherlands it does not come as a surprise that the oldest brick private house is to be found there. Proceed to hotel for dinner and overnight. (De Bilderberg or similar)
Day 3 - This day begins with a visit to the National Park De Hoge Veluwe with the Kröller Müller Museum - well known for its Van Gogh collection and sculpture park. We proceed Utrecht for a visit to the historic centre of this religious centre, with its many churches and museums, like the Dom tower (112m) and the clock and organ museum. Your tour terminates upon arrival in Amsterdam - (estimated time 16.00 hrs arrival at the RAI for registration conference. Once all members have registered, continue and drop-off in the vicinity of your hotel at around 17h30.
